New Corporate Transparency Act Reporting Rules: What You Need to Know

New reporting rules went into effect on January 1, 2024, requiring many small businesses to provide new details about beneficial owners who control the company. Here's a brief overview of the requirements.

Qualified Business Income (QBI) Deduction:
Use It or Lose It

Certain "pass-through" businesses are eligible for a special deduction of up to 20% of qualified business income (QBI). However, this tax break is scheduled to expire after 2025, unless Congress extends it.
